Do not ask me why because the only answer is that I am nuts. I got a bunny. He's getting some fresh air while my dog Abby protects me from my studio door.
He doesn't even have a name other than Bunny, Bun, Mr. Bun, and Bunzer. Hey, a contest! I'll send a 10 yards of of Gloriana silk Princess Perle to the person whose entry I choose. Post your entry in the comments. Do not send directly to me. Contest ends August 21. If I don't want to use any of the entries, I will have a drawing for the winner of the thread.
I wonder if bunnies will start to appear in my work.
Well, there are all sorts of "fuzzy" names associated with sewing and stuff: Minky, Fleece, Chenille (and if you got another rabbit, you could name it Captain. Then you'd have The Captain & Chenille)(uggghhh.... sorry, couldn't resist). Better stop before the tomatoes start flying at me! Hugs, Cathy
ReplyDeleteI think naming our "pets" are as difficult as naming our children..If you name them wrong, who knows what will happen..For example my daughter named her beloved cocker "Pepples"..This sweet cocker loves eating rocks..Geez..Anyway, I love the names of Barkley, Bilbo and HoneyBunny!! Have fun..hugs, Skye
ReplyDeleteHow about "Fiver", from Watership Down?
ReplyDeleteHe's a cute little guy.....
Well, gee! If it was a female, she could be "Pearl" or "Flossy". A guy-bunny is harder. How about "Buttons", "Roger", "Harvey", "Thumper, or "Cosmo". My dh (who will willingly give over the prize to me) suggests "Groucho" or "Cloud"..........what fun!
ReplyDeleteIf it was a female bunny I'd suggest Alice! (a la Jefferson Airplane). Since he's a boy, how about Snowy or Casper?
ReplyDeleteHe's a cute bunny! How about Hopper??
ReplyDeleteWell if you wanted to associate it with your passion for sewing maybe, Stitch, Stump, Zipper, button, spool, Mr. Silkie. I have never had to name a bunny before....
ReplyDeleteHope you find one that suits you and him...
Sharon
We understand the difficulty of trying to find a name for a bunny, we too just got one he is so cute and we love him dearly. If He is a boy Chester s a good name. he looks a lot like our bunny. ours is still a baby:)
ReplyDeleteSo again for your boy bunny we ( my kids wanted in on this) pick Chester, Dillon, Charlie, Oreo,or Winston
Sorry need to add to our post we also thought of Moire after the fabric that is soft.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter had a bunny once and his name was Snuggle. I think that is a good name. I also like Dusty. The only bunnies in my sewing room are dust bunnies.
ReplyDeleteOkay - I'm late but there are my entries - even if I don't qualify.
ReplyDeleteHare E Potter (boy - nickname Potter)
Hare E Etta (girl - nickname Etta)
Mo Hare (of the three stooges - you can be Curly)
So I'm off to have a litte Hare of the Dog! and I've joined the Hare Krishna
