does it seem hot in here to you?

Sen. James Inhofe doesn't "believe in" climate change, despite the assurances of the world's scientific community that it is real. I don't know if he doesn't believe in it in the sense of he has no faith in it, or if he does not believe the scientific evidence.

It's kind of amazing, isn't it?

  1. climate change deniers come in several categories: "idiots" either don't know about the factual data on warming or disbelieve it; next step up are those who believe that it is a natural and temporary phenomenon and not caused by humans burning fossil fuels; and then there are those who wonder if it is too late to do anything about it, like slow it down by reducing our use of fossil fuels (i.e. let our grandchildren worry about it). US conservative politicians need to pretend to be idiots (on climate change) in order to play to their base. Conservatives in the UK do not deny or fight climate change mitigation measures, in fact they are staunch supporters.
